Slow month for cooking. With grilling season here my normal cooking has slowed WAY down. For this month I opted for a small baking/cooking day.  Bananas were on heavy overload on the markdown section at Shaws this past week so it was time to stock up!
The day was a cool one, so I managed to bake up 4 loafs without over heating the house!

Whoops…look what I found last night – left over boiled potatoes! Always the challenge not to throw things away…I quickly came up with a little plan for tomorrow’s breakfast! Just add a  left over (really old) package of forgotten dry onion soup mix and yum….great breakfast potatoes!

You can certainly tell from my lack of cooking effort this month that summer is coming…I just don’t want to turn the oven on!  Most of my OAMC went into the freezer…for my grill plan later this month.  That said…here is what I managed to whip up:

We just finished up week 4 of our stain glass class at the Phoenix Glass Studio in Portland Maine.

Here is my home-made salsa from scratch….made with my great tomato deal from Shaws this week!
Home-Made Salsa Recipe:

10 tomatoes (you can add a can of diced tomatoes for more juice)
2 cloves garlic
1 small onion, quartered
1 jalapeno chile pepper or 1 can of green chile peppers
1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1/4 cup chopped fresh …

I did it…I made  Bread machine Cinnamon Rolls and here they are!
These little buggers taste sinful and my family absolutely LOVES them!

The Bread Machine works great on the dough. Rolled it out into a large rectangle -” ish” shape.
If you make it  longer you will get more rolls out of it.

Doubled the filling as recommended by MoneySavingMom and it worked like a charm!

- Started the dough for Bread Machine rolls-
Here is my recipe: Must place in this order.
1 egg
3 cups of flour
3 tbs sugar
2 1/4 tsp yeast
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 cup water (warm)
1 1/2 tsp salt
Added garlic, onion powder, and chives to the first batch for a little more  flavor – great to dip in olive oil and pepper!
